"job destination airport" is a project helping unemployed young people from Berlin with the preparation for an international professional life. The program starts with a two-monthintensive language course that prepares them for their stay in the Netherlands; the language training is followed by a three-month long internship, during which they train their intercultural and language skills and gain experience in an international working environment. While abroad, the young adults are accompanied by our partner Werkzenter Nederland BV. After returning from the Netherlands, the participants get support finding a job by their supervisor in Berlin for another entire month.

A report from our Partners
In January 2012, a total of eight young adults came to Rotterdam, where they worked and successfully completed their internships in different companies, such as the Novotel, the air acrobatics agency "Flying Artwork", the event ship "De Majesteit ", the air freight company "Menzies Cargo”, and the private international school "de Blijberg”. The two apartments, housing four people each, were located only a few buildings away from each other and close to the center in the disctrict of "BildDelfs Haven". Thus, the participants enjoyed great public transportation connections directly to the city center and to their workplaces. In their spare time, they enjoyed trips to places like Scheveningen, Delft and Amsterdam. On March 25th, the young adults returned to Berlin filled with many new impressions, new professional goals as well as international work experience. In Berlin, they received further support with their integration into working life.
